<DescriptionText><text>
A subsystem registers a callback when it requires notification of the completion
of a particular drum command. Some commands may take a few seconds to finish
(for example, a 'move' to position with a slow specified velocity). In these
cases, the external subsystem will in the following order:
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><UnnumberedList>
<ListItem><Text>
register a callback function
</Text></ListItem>
<ListItem><Text>
start the drum command
</Text></ListItem>
<ListItem><Text>
wait for the callback to signify completion.
</Text></ListItem>
</UnnumberedList></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
The drum servo can currently register a maximum of three callback functions.
This number is seen as adequate since in the current CTP machine designs only
two subsystems ever register with the drum servo subsystem. An appropriate
error is generated if an attempt is made to register more that three callbacks.
